Great Guitar

I'm short with small hands. Full size guitars are uncomfortable for me, but I haven't really liked the sound of 3/4 guitars. That is until I tried the Fender MC-1 at my local guitar store the other day. I bought it on the spot! The sound is great. Very mellow and rich, and not at all horrible like the 3/4 sizes usually sound. The smaller body fits perfectly under my arm without hurting my shoulder too.

The only complaint I have is that the strings are really close together. But, te smaller fret board makes it easier for me to make chords, so it's a give and take.

Amazing Value!

What can't be said about this guitar? For under $200 you get the guitar, amp, strap, travel bag, tuner, stand, picks, extra strings, and beginner lesson dvd. All of it feels very nice and on top of that it sounds excellent. The little practice amp can really shake the windows, I was throughly surprised. This of course is all under $200 and this is because of the quality. This isn't a $1200 Fender and you probably wouldn't be playing in stadiums with this thing but to entertain a group of people you have found the right axe. This also isn't a single body American made Fender, it's manufactured in Asia but don't tell anybody else that. Would make a perfect gift for a beginning guitarist. I have been playing acoustically for a year now and this is my first electric and I couldn't be any happier.

Works as advertised

I bought these for my new Strat. They look great, they're easy to install, and they work very well.

I like the release, it's performed by squeezing with your thumb over the "F" and with your finger on the the metal ring on the inside of the guitar strap. Hard to explain, but I prefer this to some of the pull-style strap locks I've seen in the past.

The only down side is that they aren't as easy to install or uninstall from the strap as the locks that attach with a Hex-type nut. Make sure you have the strap set up at the correct length (for vintage-style leather straps) before you install the locks to avoid having to rework later.

These are easy to install and the quality is great. No fear of these popping off or wearing out. The only potential down side is they might be bigger than you think.

Great Guitar Package!

I am a bass guitar player, and own/have owned several bass guitars, including a Fender Mustang and currently a Fender Precision (Sting signature series). I have also owned a Fender Squier (6-string) guitar before. We ordered the Starcaster guitar package for my middleschool daughter.

It's a great guitar with great sound; honestly, the sound is fantastic. And there are a lot of peripheral items included at a fabulous price. We've had no problems at all with the cord or amp, and the sound that little amp makes it really clear. Hit the overdrive, and you get a nice distortion sound. You can't control the amount of overdrive (it's either on or off), but for a beginner or for household use, it's perfect. The compact guitar stand is very stable for its size.

Beginners luck

I love it! As a beginner and having a Fender is ideal. I did my research because I noticed some Fenders have thick strings but the FA-100 is perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the gig bag wasn't as padded as I thought. But all in all the guitar sounds perfect, looks great and everything came in on time. I am VERY PLEASED
Perfect pack around guitar

I bought this guitar for my 14 year old daughter to be able to play and pack around figuring that it was fairly cheap and I would not be worried if it accidently got scratched, damaged, or abused when camping or at the river, etc.
