Confidence in these strap locks!

Just put these on my Les Paul. They screws fit perfectly into the guitar. Almost as if they were exactly like the factory ones that came out.

The instructions were very easy to follow in installing. And the locks are built very well. I would definitely recommend this brand. For the price, you really can't pass them up. They're worth every penny.

I would definitely recommend this to anybody who's spent money good hard earned money on their guitar. Specially if you're doing gigs and doing a lot of movin on stage.

Just remember to lube it once in awhile with WD-40 as the manual says. Also, check and make sure the lock works just to make sure all is well. Again it goes back to saving your guitar from an accidental drop.

Worth every penny, every second

Whitney Houston is one of the key reasons I fell in love with music. I have loved her music ever since "The Greatest Love of All." And despite her recent personal turmoil (and several cancelled concerts over the years in my home town), I still hold Whitney Houston in the highest regard. This Greatest Hits compilation is great, whether you are a long-time or a new fan, whether you have all her CDs or own none, whether you love Whitney herself or whether you simply love that beautiful, soulful, and inspirational message that music can generate. Greatest Hits is a fantastic piece of music history that is a pleasure to own and enjoy.

This is a 2 CD set, which is easy to fathom given Whintey's success over the past almost 20 years. The first CD is entitled "Cool Down," which is appropriate given it features Whitney's slower power ballads, putting you in a calm, mellow, inspired place. While most of the songs are known to us all, of special note are the duets. "If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful," a duet with Jermaine Jackson, is a rare, beautiful, and wondrous gem. "Same Script, Different Cast" is a beautiful and haunting ballad featuring Deborah Cox. And Diane Warren produces another anthemic ballad masterpiece with "Could I Have This Kiss Forever" featuring Enrique Iglesias. While there are bound to be some omissions, most notably missing on this CD is "When You Believe," Whitney's duet with Mariah Carey that garnered and Oscar nomination.

Personally I haven't seen songwriting of this caliber in popular music in a long long time. She is a throwback to a time when artists wrote poetry to music and people could relate in their own lives making this album, in my opinion, an instant classic.

The Mountain makes the BEST quality teeshirts. My teenage son got four for Christmas and asked for more. He now has a dozen Mountain shirts and absolutely loves them. The red-tailed hawk is common in our area and this shirt captures its majesty and beauty. Love the light color of the fabric which is so different from most of our Mountain shirts.

I love the beautiful red-tailed hawk on this shirt, and how the colors contrast so well with each other, with the main graphics of the hawk standing out beautifully against the paler background. I have four other T-Shirts produced by The Mountain, and have been pleased with all of them. The material is light weight, so it is cool in the summer time, yet they hold together well. I have one from 1999 that my son gave me, and the only thing wrong with it is that the colors have faded over the years. If you love hawks, and are looking for a light weight, warm weather T-shirt, you'll love this one.

Great little amp - high quality

Great little amp for the money. Very solid and well made. Perfect for practice. The gain, volume and tone knobs are solid too. All in all, I think it's better than similarly priced Fender practice amps. Definitely worth the money.

The volume knob goes to "11"

I did not have high expectations for this little amp which I bought to supplement my big VOX and Orange Krush tube amps. I needed something portable, small and cheap. This is small, portable and inexpensive - but not cheap. It gets a lot louder than I expected a little amp like this could. Loud enough to annoy the wife when she is upstairs and I am downstairs. It's clearly a transistor amp and lacks the tone and warmth of a tube but its killer for the price and size and portability. I think a lot of people knock these MG series transistor amps because Marshall sets the bar so high with JCM type tube heads. But these guys here? They hold there own against Line 6, Peavey and similar. This is a great lil' practice amp that is perfect for playing classic metal and hard rock. Again, much louder than I expected and have seen from other mini-amps. As the Rt. Honourable, The 5th Baron Haden-Guest (aka "Nigel Tufnel" from Spinal Tap) would say, "the knob goes to '11' cuz '10' is not loud enough. Or at least it should!

I have a Martin D35 acoustic and strapping it with the string knot around the neck is honestly a bit annoying to do - so i figure what's a $10 investment going to do for me?

make things easier and CLEANER LOOKING - that's what!

i like it because it really just makes puting the strap on the guitar that much easier and removing it again an easy task.

An Unbeatable Value

This instrument might actually be in a class of its own. That is, it would be extremely difficult to find a guitar in this price band that comes even remotely close in terms of quality; not only with regard to craftsmanship, but certainly the sound it produces. The Applause exceeds expectation whether it is unplugged, amplified, or even run directly through a mixer. Beyond sounding comparatively spectacular, it is far more durable than perhaps any other hollow-bodied instrument on the market due to its components and design. The electronics are reliable and the instrument is accessible, or playable, to even the most novice of musicians. This guitar is the ideal instrument for a beginner or a younger musician, simply because it is cost efficient, durable, and as easy to play for the price as one might be able to find anywhere. Even experienced guitarists will almost certainly appreciate its action, sound and durability if not only for the purposes of practice and travel. This is an exceptional value and an excellent instrument.

Just what I expected. I ordered the natural color one, and I'm satisfied.
It is a beautiful designed, ultra-light, low-action, and great-sounding instrument. Acoustic or electrically. You can't miss. For the price, it is a great bargain. Great for recording.

Of course, if you expect something to beat $1000+ guitars, then you will be dissapointed. But if you want an easy-carry, great sounding and nice looking guitar, this is the one.

I just installed these on my bass, and I'm quite impressed. Solid construction, and a sleek look that goes well with my gold hardware. Most likely, you'll have to drill your screw holes just a bit deeper than factory, but after that short work, these are basically permanent, as I could see no reason for wanting to remove them. The double button lock is a great design, and I would highly recommend this item for anyone like myself that wants to keep their precious instrument in tip top shape.

I purchased this setup because it included the case and the tuner. You definately need the tuner to keep the Ukulele in tune as you break in the new strings. There is even a pocket on the case to keep the tuner in. If you are just starting out to learn the Ukulele, I would recommend this package. Shipping was also fast.

I bought this as a Christmas present to myself after I got a guitar. It's really great, does everything it says, holds your picks securely and the light is super bright. I cliped in onto my guitar case and its great for when I go jam with my friends.

Awseome Key Chain By Dan R
This key chain is great. It says it can hold about 4 picks, but I currently have 6 in there and there is still room for another. This thing is really handy, you never have to go rummaging through your pockets or a guitar case for picks. Plus, its got a light on it, which is surprisingly bright, which is great if its dark outside and you are trying to load gear into a van (or do anything that requires light). The part you put the keys on is also really well made because it is really asy to get keys on and off, but only if you are trying, they don't come off accidently.

Light/Medium Strings

Awesome strings. I too have the Hog, D-15. Just like the other reviewer stated the mediums just never seemed happy on my guitar and I used them for a solid 10 years. I was always having to take the guitar in to get a setup, and they always seemed too stiff. I did of course try lights but like the other reviewer I found them too weak to drive the top and not enough tension. Then I got a set of these from a Martin rep. This may have changed the course of my D-15's life! No joke. They are exactly like the rep described them when he called them the "Goldylocks Set", he said they are juuuusssst riiight. And they are. No there is not one set for every guitar but this set sure agrees with the tempermental D-15! Try them out.

Shubb Capo - Still the best after 25 years

I bought my first Shubb capo almost 25 years ago, and although the metal arm shows some wear from repeated use it still works perfectly. Because I play a number of different guitars I now keep a Shubb capo in each case (along with other basic guitar supplies). When I added these additional capos I purchased "Shubb Deluxe" models for each guitar.

As for the reviewers who've noted problems with intonation, any guitarist worth his salt knows that you must as carefully place a capo on the strings as you place your finger on the fretboard. The Shubb Deluxe is the best at applying _equal_ pressure to all the strings across the fretboard, creating what is essentially a second nut. Mechanically you are shortening the overall effective string length which also effects the range of usable intonation, and more significantly effects the timbre of the string/instrument. Be sure to _carefully_ place the capo over the strings, making sure that the capo is near-perfectly parallel with and immediately behind the fret bar. The closer the capo is placed to the fret bar the less pressure is required to keep the strings in firm contact and the truer the intonation. This is the same principle you [should] use when fingering a string. "Less [pressure] is more [better intonation]."

I'm still pleased with my original Shubb, but the Deluxe is superior in every respect -- especially intonation -- and this is the only capo I will use on my Traugott guitars.

Fine capo.

I have this capo as well as the Shubb C-1. Both are fine. I question if the roller design is at all necessary, however both styles work great.

In response to another reviewer, which complained about the adjustment procedure (which takes only a few seconds). Am I alone or is it the "tune" of the guitar that is most important issue when changing capo position? When using a capo further up the neck, why would anyone assume that spring pressure is equal? I've used Both types for years and nothing comes close. Very little weight, small and simple, fits easily in your pocket and adjustable for all types of music, using just the right amount of pressure to where you capo. The more you use it the more automatic it becomes to adjust. It is never in the way, and does not ever become an obstruction when playing (like a roller capo). Then again, there are those that probably never even notice if the additional pressure of a spring type capo is pulling their strings out a bit (which if you aren't tone deaf you'll need to retune). Grant you, there are capos that claim to be more automatic in process, but at a cost of adding additional weight to your axe, thus changing your neck weight, which affects specific guitar tonality. This thing is small, light and works (and no I don't work for Shubb, but they should pay me for this).

Gold Tone PBRD- Paul Beard Deluxe Resonator Guitar

I play mostly electric guitar and bass in a hobby originals band that I would characterize as post-punk/alt-rock. I have 20+ guitars but none are acoustic, so I have been searching for several months for a decent one in the under 400$ range. I have been very disappointed with the anemic sounds of even the +1000$ models from all the usual makers. I was shocked that a 1200$ Martin wasn't even all real wood! Sitting in the corner with the mandolins and banjos was a lone dobro (specifically, a Goldtone by Paul Beard - Resonator Deluxe Model- I never heard of either brand); since I had never even held one before I tried it out of curiosity. The first thing I noticed was that it felt SOLID and HEAVY, and had a very satisfying feel to it. I banged out my three open chord test song and I IMMEDIATELY knew I was not leaving the store without this guitar. This was exactly the full, LOUD, rich bass yet twangy sound I was looking for. The sound I remember from decades ago playing my friends dreadnought Martin. An unmistakably distinctive resonator metallic edge to it, but that was almost a plus. I imagine playing with a slide and/or fingerpicks would markedly accentuate those tonal features, but bare finger picking and strumming and flatpicking with a little palm mute produced a sound that gave me butterflies in my stomach. Plucked harmonics sounded better than most hot electrics or chicken picked teles. The dynamic range was incredible, and I sensed that this thing PROJECTS if you are in front of it. I can't wait to experiment with mic'ing techniques to capture that sound.

I am new to playing the guitar, and became extremely frustrated with trying to tune my guitar by ear. It was impossible for me, and my guitar sounded horrible! Then, I got this electronic tuner, and my guitar sounded like an actual guitar. It is very, very easy to use. All you have to do is play each open string, and tune it by the guage on the tuner. I could not be happier with this small little investment. I would highly recommend it - especially for people who are apparently tone deaf.

Being this low priced I didnt think it would work as well but it is very nice. It has LED lights to go by as well as a meter to use. There is also a jack to plug in your guitar or bass. Easy and simple to use I highly recommended it.

I appreciate this stand for its compactness, its solid weight (padded metal rod structure) and portability. This flat-folding stand slips right into my into my music briefcase, backpack or tote-bag.

Its low profile, width spread and weight keep it and your guitar upright. The padding, encasing the steel rod structure, is velvet soft and keeps the guitar from slipping.

I have used the device for a month now and have to say that I am truly amazed by how well it works. Having almost destroyed my neck with other products, I was forced to clean my strings with a cloth or my fingernails, which is nasty. I have been waiting for something like this for a loooong time. It is so easy to use, highly efficient, and it cleans the strings underneath! I also like the fact that you can just clean the microfiber cloth every month or so and then it is brand new again(although, you should really let it dry properly before using it again!). I guess you can probably get around 6 - 8 months out of this little device, which of course saves some good time and money. Fine pressing

Product arrived in good condition via an international shipment from the US to Australia. Delivery time was quick. The vinyl is a fine pressing! Quality of sound is as clear as it gets and brings out the essence of a band like Deep Purple at its finest in a 1972 release from Montreux Casino, Switzerland. Zappa's band burnt the building down and Purple captured the experience as 'Smoke on the Water'! Well packaged too.

Machine Head is a timeless piece of Rock history. Every Mark 2 Deep Purple record led off with a classic song,but Highway Star is by far the best of the bunch.
Every time I hear it I go back to my teenage years and smile. Maybe i'm a leo, Never before, and pictures of home all showcase the musical aptitude of this fine

Great value for the money

it wasn't even listed on the Ion Audio website yet, but bought it on a lark. Build is solid. Sound quality is excellent (not quite what a $1500 Roland will provide, but really quite good) with the included headphones (and drumsticks). Control panel is fairly straightforward, but I strongly suggest reading the instructions. Feel of drum surfaces is very good; that of cymbals somewhat rubbery.
I'm not a drummer, but have been a musician for 35 years and wanted something to fool around on without a) annoying everyone in the house and b) having to listen to my two boys bash it to pieces. I've only had it for about 2 weeks, but I'm very pleasantly surprised.
Note: This set appeared on the Ion Audio website about a week after I bought it!

By jbman Do yourself a favor and get a Korg clamp on tuner if you don't have one. This is assuming your like me and need a tuner to tune anything. It makes a world of difference I was trying a tuner which is held against the sound top and it was not working. The Korg tuner is about 35 bucks and makes this an awe-sum guitar if i could just figure out where to hang it when it's not in the case .

Yamaha SLG Guitar

I live in an apartment building and have had difficulty finding practice space. The Yamaha SLG guitar runs on a nine volt transitor radio battery and allows me to practice with headphones without bothering my neighbors. (Note: This guitar is not 100% silent, however it is much, much quieter than a standard guitar and as such is not likely to bother your neighbors "as much", if at all.) The unplugged sound is about as loud as picking an unplugged Fender Strat.

I would buy this guitar again for the silent feature. Although this guitar will fold up for easy carry-on, I don't think that the guitar will fit in an airplane overhead compartment due to its length.

He was only 17, with one year left of High School before he would attend Richard Daley College in Chicago. By 1994 Mark relocated to Florida, and with him came the manuscript of his first book. The piece was titled Total Scales Techniques and Applications, which Mark sold to his private students. One afternoon a student's friend came into the music store where Mark was teaching. He explained that he had seen the manuscript and wanted to purchase one for himself. This transaction sparked the idea to put the manuscript up for sale online. The manuscript sold so well that Mark was able to quit his 'other job' as a student loan consultant, and pursue music full time. By 2002, fueled by user feedback and testimonials, Mark's growing number of music instruction titles awarded him national recognition. It's everything I wanted

This compact pedal/stompbox/pc DAW interface/tuner/loop station is so far the best pedal investment I've made. It is simple to use right out of the box. Although I would like to be able to make changes on the fly in a more simple manner, I love it. I am still on the same set of batteries I started with a month ago. Compared to my Fender VG strat (loves to eat battereies) that is a miracle. I've yet to take advantage of the DAW interface or Looping feature.

I am a fan of the SRV/Hendrix changy (Super Reverb/Ibanez Tube Screamer) tones and I get that nicely from this pedal. It fits neatly into my gig bag (fishing tackle bag) along with my cables and other gear. I love the Boost and Solo button as well. It really adds the umph when you need it. I like that Boss has a consistent interface across all of their products so you are automatically somewhat familiar if you have other Boss products. The only issue is that I wish the manual was more comprehensive.

Great pedal, not for live gigs

This pedal is excellent to have at home or for creating sounds in a studio. Tons of variations and options, effects, etc. You have to keep in mind that unless you prepare settings in advance, it is very difficult to change settings, or add specific effects on the spot live. Other than that it is excellent.

Perfect practice tool!

I have always thought of getting some sort of small headphone amp to plug into my guitar and practice with while lounging on the couch or around the house.

When I saw that Vox had made something that fit that description, I wasted no time in ordering this. I have a Vox Tonelab and just love it. This little do-dad is easy to use...thumb wheel controls for Gain, Tone and Volume. There is an Aux jack to plug in a CD or MP3 player to jam along with, and then of course there is the headphone out for your choice of headphones.

The analog circuitry inside is said to emulate AC30 amp, and I think it really does sound more like an amp than a tiny headphone amp. The Gain and Tone controls give you a pretty good control on tones either dirty and distorted or chiming and clean. I think you could even take the headphone out of this and go to a recording device to get a different tone for solos or recording projects as something different!

My take is that this little do-dad is well worth the $39.99 price tag!

I recently discovered this little tone wonder by cruising the guitar effect pedal vids on You Tube. (I discover a lot of new things that way, especially with independent user reviews). The sound of this little effect box was a real eye-opener! Plus, I was looking for something that would be very simple for practicing on the couch, that didn't require connecting a lot of wires or an AC adapter. Everyone seemed to be very positive about it - which has got to mean something.

I bought this guitar package for my 9 year old grandson for Christmas. I got it out, tuned it and played. The strings are very good. No tinny sound or buzzing. It has such a sweet sound. The amp is sooooo awsome!! We only had to put the volume to "1". It really cranks. I know my grandson will be amazed at this guitar and I am sure it will last for many many years.
I'm thinking of purchasing another of these Epiphone packs for myself.

Very Comfortable AND Great Tone

This is a great all around bar. I will probably never use my Stevens type bar again!.

The bottom is more rounded than a Stevens bar. For me this makes the GS glide over the strings much easier and it makes it easier to get a nice gentle vibrato by rocking the top of the bar back and forth. The edges make for great clean pull off's.

I think the tone is better on the lower strings than the Stevens bar. This is probably because the profile of the GS is more rounded and there is less contact area.

The wooden top of the bar is larger and more contoured than the Stevens. This makes it very easy to grip. This can be especially important if you have any hand problems that make it difficult to grip or hold on to a steel bar with a smaller top part. The wood feels better than cold steel in your hand too!

I would strongly recommend giving this bar a try. Especially if you aren't too fond of the grip on a Stevens type bar or if you have hand problems.

Great bar, easy to use!

This is a great bar. I almost didn't get it based on the other review list here; however, Shubb is a very good company that I have done business with for some time. I didn't think they would put out an inferior product in an area that they have had good success in. I believe that I was correct. I have the Van Meter bar, which is good and Shubb 2, which is ok but feels heavy and clumsy to me. This bar has the same volume, I can't hear a difference and I have tried them side by side. It is quicker and much easier to execute pull offs and slants. I recognize there differences in the type of instruments being played, hand size and technical ability, with that in mind I would still highly recommend checking this steel out. Besides, how many resophonic guitarist do you know that have only one steel? Try it, I think that you will like it.

Easiest Most Effective Capo I've Used

The Kyser capo is well designed. Normally "parked" on the head of my guitar, I can easily add, move or remove in 2 seconds. The unique feature of this capo is that you can flip it around, for example, cover the 3rd 4th and 5th strings on the second fret to convert it to an open E B A E B E tuning from a standard E B G D A E tuning. Very reliable and fun. Highly recommended.

I use capos a LOT, and this thing is an absolute dream...simply pinch and move...it's that simple. My concern at first was that it would not properly hold down the strings, but that fear was eliminated as soon as I took it out of the package and popped it on...2 seconds flat. I have 2, which I have now been using for 4 years.

The only thing about these capos is that the rubber does break down somewhat, and the strings will leave an indentation in the rubber. It doesn't seem to affect the pressure on the strings, however, and I have yet to replace one. At any rate, it would be absolutely worth it to have to frequently replace them if that were even the case because their ease of use is absolutely indispensable. Four years so far seems a very, very good run to me.

Great Guitar. Just watch the furniture. :)

I bought this gem of mine in a guitar store, it was floor model and smelled (it still does)a bit like cheap varnish. But it plays great.

The 490 neck and bridge pickups are incredibly powerful and pick up every nuance of your performance. If you're into Van Halen style tapping or just like to hammer-on one handed like Angus Young, this is the guitar for you. This guitar's incredible action will give you incredible speed to which to do it. A big plus is that the pickups will overdrive even a small battery powered amp without deafening the neighbors, which is good if you have to keep it down.

The body is super thin and it's a bit neck heavy, but it's lighter compared to the Epiphone SG with just as much punch. With the Volume/Tone controls of the guitar set to full-blast, it has a heavy metal crunch like no other. It sounds darker than the Epiphone Vintage G-400, and the neck joint isn't as prominent as on the Epiphone which makes hitting the high end that much easier.

With Medium strings and a Extra Heavy celluloid pick (or plectrum if you're techincal about it), it makes a great rock and roll guitar.

Paired with a Solid State amp, it's a great heavy metal guitar as the pickups are quite powerful. I like to plug my guitar directly into the amp with it's distortion up and the pickups do crunch so well I don't need a distortion pedal. Though I do like to throw one in on occasion just for fun.

With a Valve (tube) amp, it packs just as much punch even plugged straight into the amp.

As far as effects go, a Wah-Wah pedal is good if you want to play "Star-Spangled Banner" like Jimi Hendrix, it will blow your mind. On a clean setting you can get a jazzy, blues type motif going as the pickups clean up quite well on a cleaner setting. You still get the razor sharp action like you would with distortion, but with the advantage of clear vibrant notes.

The only downside is that it bangs up quite easily, hence if you plan on jumping around the room, be sure it's not too cluttered. Also, the finish is quite fragile as I discovered when I moved the case off my bed. I forgot to zip down the lid and the poor guitar jumped out and hit my dresser. It landed on the bottom strap button and left a small but clean crack in the varnish on the back, since my floor is tile and concrete. It could have been worse, but it still plays like the day I walked out the store with it, so it's not too much if you have to baby more than others.

In all it's a great guitar and with a little TLC, it can last you a lifetime.

It's about time!

I'm so glad Ernie Ball decided to put out this tool. I've been using the manual kind for years and have been tempted in the past to get an attachment for my cordless drill. The reason I never did was that I was worried it would be too powerful for that purpose. Working great for me!

I bought these strings to replace the rather flat and dull sounding original strings on my Uke. I noticed a difference right away, they sound brigher and the instrument is a little louder as well. They aren't going to make a cheap Ukulele sound like an expensive one, but for a few dollars they made a nice improvement. I went from clear strings to black which I think made my Uke look better as well. I will buy them again.

Bright sounding strings

First off, I'm NO ukulele expert. That being said: I replaced the original strings on my new Mahalo U-35PK Sparkling Soprano Ukulele Outfit in Pink with these. I know they stated Concert, however, reading up on this, they can still be used on a soprano or standard uke. Immediately I noticed a difference in sound on these strings. Like another reviewer said, it's not going to perform miracles on a cheap uke, but it sure helped out a lot. The sound is quite a bit louder and so much brighter as well. I'm loving the sound. Also, I really like the way they look on my pink uke; it's a nice touch. I would definitely recommend these.

I agree with all of the reviews, but have found another area to use fast fret on: THE NUT. When tuning, the strings (especially the lower wound strings) hang up on the nut which causes the string to pop instead of slide as it would on a roller nut. Dab Fast Fret onto the nut before tuning, and this problem is greatly reduced.

String cleaner? More like string saver!

Well, I started using fast fret back in 2005, and I've been buying it every since. If you use it as recommended (put on/wipe off before/after playing) it makes your strings sound brand new for well over a month. Once I got a pair to last for about four months! One tip I have is to buy two "bottles" of it because you can't really tell when you are getting low on the stuff. that way if one bottle gives out on you there's one in reserve.

I highly recommend this product both as a musician and someone who hates changing strings (and buying them!)

I know nothing about guitar accessories. I wanted to get a friend of mine something for his birthday and he plays guitar. I found out that Fender is an excellent brand and I bought the stand for him when I realised that his guitar is normally in a corner in the house. He loves the stand. It is lightweight, easy to carry and he can fit it into the guitar bag and take with him when he is travelling. It does not take up much space. Now he is telling me that the stand looks so good it makes his guitar look cheap and I should get him a Fender guitar to match!!!!!

This thing shipped so fast, I expected at least a week, it came in like three days! I've had this bass for a couple of months now, and it's really fun. It's my first bass. Though it's not from some famous maker, it still catches the eyes of some of my friends with fancy $600 basses, and according to them, it's a nice bass (: And it really is. Unplugged it's not TOO loud, but it's enough for solo practice. Plug this baby in to an amp and it sounds awesome, the equalizer works nicely too. I guess one thing I would have liked is if there was a strap button on the opposite end, but you could always get one installed at a music shop for not too much money. If you've been interested in getting your first bass, I highly recommend this one. Or even if you already own an electric bass and just want an acoustic to have around, this thing works. I've had so much fun with this bass so far, and I would have to say it was so worth the money spent, which wasn't much!

PS. You might want to tighten the truss rod when you first get it (the tool is included), as the strings can be too loose and vibrate on the fingerboard when you play. After a little tightening, it should sound great. If you don't know how to adjust a truss rod, you could always go on youtube and watch demo videos. But it's really as simple as screwing something in.

I did have to take this into the shop to tighten the truss rod, since it's not a good idea to do it yourself, but that was fairly inexpensive and now my bass sounds wonderful. Plugged into an amp it has the most gorgeous sound, I wouldn't trade it for another any day. There's no knob by the neck to attach a strap to, but you can just tie one end of the strap at the end of the neck and it will work fine.

As soon as i got these, i ripped open the package and started shredding on my guitar. It caught on fire because the pick made me play very very fast. But I now wrapped my guitar in fire proof material so I can shred away with these picks. :)

Great Long Lasting Strap for a Beatles Fan

This strap is being used by a high school student who plays guitar and is a Beatles fan. The strap is wide and durable. It is similar to one I have used in combination with the Straplock System for over 25 years.
Nice looking and comfortable

Had this on my wish list and got it for Christmas. After eight months I don't have any issues with the strap. Not sure about the previous reviewer's comment about contact with finishes so I will not comment on that. The strap is installed on a Ibanez SR500 which is has no gloss finish so it is not an issue for me either way. I use Ernie Ball strap locks on all my basses so pop off is not a problem. I haven't noticed any stretch. The strap is comfortable enough for a full three hour practice. The graphics are really nice and it just makes me feel good. After eight months I like it enough that I have wish listed the "Meet the Beatles" strap for another practice bass. After all, Christmas is coming.

Great Pedal, Great Price!

This is a classic Boss pedal, it's been around for awhile. Boss is known for their great sounding effects and rugged construction of their products, this one is no different. The distortion from this pedal is simple, very smooth, and very versatile. It's not too noisy, allowing single notes played to be heard with clarity. If you'd like to hear it, you can probably find some sound clips of it being used on Boss's website.

it sounds like a 300 dollar guitar By capiweddle
The guitar sounds grest and it looks really good. It is really easy and comfortable to play. It is very solid and the electronics are great. the downside on the particular guitar that i received is that it seems that the cables are kind of loose and just laying around there and when i pick certain strings or notes something rumbles in the inside. it is a little rumble and you hardly notice it but sometimes it can be annoying. This guitar came with some scratches in hte edge of hte soundhole and of course you can imagine that i was really unhappy about that but i just covered it with some paint and it looks good now. the scratch wasnt even noticeable at first but i like my guitars to look perfect. Since it is a black guitar you know you are going to have extra care with it becuase every little scrach just pops out. Aside from all that this is a great guitar for the price. the fretboard is beautiful and it is well put together. It comes with D'addario strings (which i dont really like) so i changed them for some elixir polyweb strings and it is even more easy to play and even more easy on your fingers. you will have to adjust the neck of hte guitar at first. It holds the tuning perfectly. The built in tuner isnt vergy good but you will always have your amp to do that job.

Conclusion:

this is a great guitar for the price and it is beautiful and it does the job very well. I recommend this product for left-handed players. you will be more than satisfied. Ill post a video review when i have some time.

PS. this doesnt come with hte aphex preamp that the exoticas come with. this is a regular performer and if you have some extra cash i'd probably recommend buting hte exotica. because of the look and the aphex preamp beucase it sounds really good.

Great entry level resonator By Robert Pitre iii I've been shopping for a resonator for a long time, but I really wanted one that would plug in without alteration. For only 300 hundred bucks, this is a good quality and great sounding resonator. I plugged this in and it sounds great. It is not as brassy and twangy as the metal body models, but I like that. A great instrument which has already given me hours of pleasure and renewed my energy and interest in writing and performing traditional music. I haven't actually held and played the Jay Turser, the Oscar Schmidt, or Fender models. One thing is, those other models are hard to find in guitar stores, a limited market for resonators. I don't like the way the Jay Turser and Fender models look. The lines on the Turser are too hinky and the Fender looks too much like a cheap cigar box. This guitar is very understated and elegant, but will scream if you put a slide on it. I play with a 30 watt Line 6 spider 3 amp and there are some great warm or sleazy crunches you can get! Fun fun fun. I played one of these at an awesome guitar store in Ellensburg, Washington and I fell in love. Just didn't want to make the hour and a half drive back to Ellensburg to buy it. The quality and finish of this instrument are excellent.

The guitar arrived on time via UPS. I wasn't home when it was delivered (it was at the apartment door).

The cardboard case was damaged and the guitar had a 1-2 inch scratch on the side of the neck. I filed no claim because the instrument:
1. remains in tune,
2. has excellent (unexpected) resonance,
3. neck is straight, and,
4. I am going to convert it into a resonator.
It is about 38" long, slightly less than standard.

Even if I wasn't about to make the conversion, I highly recommend the guitar, particularily because to the surprisingly rich sound. It also works well for bottleneck slide

If I could have found a broken, usable guitar for the conversion, I'd leave the $29.99 as is because it is certainly worth the price. I sorta hate to cut it how (but it just occured to me that it will sound very good as a resonator also.

Great Beginner

This is a great guitar if you have a child who is interested in playing. Alot better quality for the price. I checked at our Local-Walmart and there was nothing comparible at all for the price... It was a Birthday Present for our 8 year old daughter and she loves it!

Great true-bypass tuner

I finally purchased this in line tuner to replace my hand held cheap tuner. This thing is way more accurate than my old tuner and because it is true bypass it doesn't suck any of your tone. I haven't used the battery pack, so don't know about battery life. I use a one-spot plug to power it. Another nice feature is you can set it to turn off the volume when in use or leave volume on. It's very heavy and seems sturdy and well built. The display is a little confusing at first, but once I read the manual it makes good sense and is easy to use.

Incredible Tuner!!

I've never owned a guitar tuner. I would generally just put on a song that I knew what key it's in and tune to it. Owning 5 electric guitars, and having to tune all of them after string changes was problematic at best.

I just tuned my new BC Rich Mockingbird in 5 minutes with this awesome little tuner. Once tuned, I plugged it into my Marshall AVT150 and viola, beautifully tuned scales, and chords!! No having to go back to that dreaded B string to get it just right between the G and E. It was all done during the tuning!!

I think I'm really going to test my abilities with it this weekend, and look at the intonation of this instrument!

Impressive Sound from an Inexpensive Source

The Danelectro Honeytone Mini Amp - Beatnik Burgundy is an easy way to get great sound from your electric guitar. The color of this unit is a soft burgundy (almost brick red in color). Paired with the Zero Hum AC Adaptor, it's a highly portable amp setup. "Ultra-portable" by using a 9V battery instead of the AC adaptor. I do think they are best purchased together to enjoy all the benefits of this rig though.

A headphone jack on the amp means you can enjoy the amp's impressive sound quality without bothering the neighbors or waking your spouse.

Real damn good By John Baran This is one of the great albums of 70's era rock. I own my original copy, the first issued CD, and I'm still planning to buy the 180G re-issue. I love this album that much. I always thought Paul Rodgers never got the true respect deserved. One of the marks for me is 2 notes sung and you know who it is. He's in that league with Robert Plant, Rod Stewart, Billy Joel, Lemmy and Ozzy. Stakes were high here, first issue on Swan Song, would this be better than Free ? Right or wrong this was going to be compared to Led Zeppelin. In then end it's not `Zep but it's own sound and group. This is their best and it's real damn good.
One Great Album

I have the orginal album that I bought in 1974.
I do believe that out of all the albums that Bad Company had made this ablum is the best.
Bad Company had set a new standard for Rock and Roll since the Love Child Era
For all the hits that Bad Company had made there is also Bad Company Triology
What made this album great is that it was not overpowering as hard rock is.

The BEST book out there on Strat maintenance

I wanted to give a more in-depth review of this book than what's currently on here now.

First, about myself. As of the writing of this review I'm 38 and have been playing for over 20 years. I have been setting up, modifying and tinkering with guitars all along. So trust me when I say that this book is a must-have if you want to work on your Fender Strat. Or, if you just want to know more about what makes a strat sound and play the way it does, this book serves that purpose as well. If you are already familair with setting up your strat then this book won't tell you anything new, but it's still an enjoyable read.

The book is 176 glossy pages with rich, beautiful professional photos throughout the entire book. The text is very easy to read even for those that aren't entirely familiar with the intricate working and electronics of guitars in general and therefore provides for an enjoyable read even for the casual reader.

What the book is not: Althought it touches on repair, t's not a repair manual. The information on repair is not comprehensive enough to actually do it yourself. It's not a compendium of Strats from year to year giving comprehensive differences and when things changed. This information is already available from other sources. It's not simply a picture book or coffee table book even though the size and Hard Cover format might suggest.

What it is: A comprehensive breakdown of how to set-up your Fender Stratocaster. And it does this in a fashion that allows the new tinkerer to get in there and do the work themselves. Very much in the same vein as Dan Earlwine's books.

Made easy

Bought a Squire strat. It had rough unfinished frets, loose whammy, misc rough spots and I had new pickups to put in. I bought this book and did all the work myself- the first guitar work I ever did. It was easy because he gave the specs in various places and explained how things worked. I smoothed the frets, evened the neck, tuned the bridge and put Seymour Duncans in from another strat I had, Adjusted and st the wang bar and now it smokes better than any other strat Ive had. Saved me an extra 250 - 700$ buying a Mex strat, or an american standard. If nothing else- this will teach a newbie like myself how to tear a strat apart and put it back together again making improvements along the way. A good investment.

Great Les Paul Primer

The LP Handbook is a great primer for people new to the Les Paul and thinking of getting one. It's a great quick reference guide for those same people who want to take care of their guitars themselves and not pay high rates at the local guitar repair shop. In that same context however, it's great for folks who need to look up one particular thing. The facts aren't strewn all over the place, they are in one neatly organized area. Why read through repairing Fenders or Guilds to get to the good stuff? Super book. Lester should be proud. Did I say great enough times ??

wonderful test for the gibson guitar family

Great capo for the price!

I bought the Planet Waves Guitar Capo in black the other day, and it works great!

I did a lot of shopping around because I wanted a good capo for my acoustic electric guitar, and when I came upon this one I liked the style.

BENEFITS:
-The Capo is screw on from the bottom, so that means you can adjust how tight it is on the strings (So you can barre chords or just silence strings).
-The black looks great, and the material is nice- I don't think it could scratch the guitar neck unless you wore off the thick padding.
-This could go either way, but the capo is nice and small. I was a bit surprised when I got it, but it works just fine. Would probably be easy to lose if you have a messy place though!

DRAWBACKS:
You can't really mount the capo on the headstock, even if you try to screw it on. The only way I can figure out to keep it on is to clamp both the top tuning key and the headstock. (Not recommended of course)

OVERALL:
This is a great capo. It's built well, does what it needs to do, and it looks nice. Like I said, my only gripe is that it doesn't fit on the headstock very well. Definitely recommended!

Clearly the best!

I've been playing the guitar for 40 years, and have tried my share of gizmos, gadgets and capos. Without question, the G7th capo is best that I've experienced. I let a few friends try it, and they ordered their own G7th capos. I've purchased two more for Christmas gifts. The quality is matched only by the outstanding performance. If you use a capo, you'll really love this one!

lovin' it!

Every time there's a new capo on the market, I buy it. Always searching for the ideal capo. Shubbs are the original standard, but not the one I reach for anymore. I prefer my Keysers to the Dunlop Trigger, and think the Keyser partials are very nifty, but still the not the ones I reach for anymore. Then I found the brass Dunlop with the screw mechanism. That was my favourite until I tried the Bird of Paradise. Beautiful AND functional. And now, the G7th. The best so far. The only possible downside, but it's to be seen, is that I wonder if the tension will loosen over time? Not curretly a problem, but I wonder...?
Anyway, for now, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good for average sized ring finger

This is a pretty standard slide. I bought this one at GC. Amazon's price is a little better. I'm a male with pretty average size hands - I wear medium to large gloves. Anyway, this slide fits pretty nicely on my ring finger and is slightly small for my middle finger. Not much else to say. I'm also going to get a smaller slide for on my pinkie.

First Guitar

I bought this guitar for my 4 year old granddaughter, Emma, and decided it was a bit too much for her to handle. However, it's what she wanted more than anything else for her birthday and it's something she can grow into with the passion she demonstrates to learn how to play it. We'll see. One thing I know, it was a heck of a buy when compared to other starting instruments made for children. I also ordered a starting music book for guitar from Amazon which her mother is using to teach her self and Emma how to play.

Very good guitar tool kit.

Very good tool kit for the guitarist. Well made zip-up case and good quality essential tools for changing strings and adjusting bridges and tremelos etc. I don't "gig" as they say any more, but it's very handy having all your tools and strings in one place at home. I particularly like the pockets for spare strings and the trem poker. Wish I'd had this kit when I was playing out. Highly recommended!

This is a great gift!

My husband is a guitar player and I wanted to get him a gift for his birthday, but because I don't play I didn't know what to get. The Gigmate was an easy gift - it didn't need to be a special model or color - it can be used by any guitarist no matter what type of instrument they play. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality and workmanship and my husband loved it. Although he plays at home, not on the road - it is one of his most prized possessions. He always knows where to find his tools and strings, no more digging through the junk drawer. Just passed the test

I purchased these to replace a pair of 3inch needle nose that I kept in my bass guitar case that I had to leave in south africa at airport security.Even though the US allows up to 5 inches some countries don't.I saw this all in one tool and tried it when I went to Japan,and even though they looked at it hard,it made it through security.This is a great tool for traveling musicians.Thanks Bassin J

This is not a toy.

I have an Almansa 435 Seniorita, which is a very lovely little classical guitar, so I have some idea what a decent classical guitar should sound like. I got this little one for my son, who is 5, and didnt want to spend much because you know how children can be when it comes to lessons and instruments. I was very surprised at the quality of the sound. It is still in it's breaking in period, so the strings are still stretching, but it sounds really, really, nice. I even played on it myself (you know, just to get it warmed up for my son!) and it truly is not bad. Doesnt sound "tinny" or "toyish". Sounds like a classical guitar. Now I bought a much more expensive one a few years ago for my daughter, who has since given up the guitar, and that was handmade in mexico, solid wood, 3/4 size, and didn't sound nearly as good as this little thing. For this price, you get a solid spruce top, the finish is nice, kind of matted, the tuners are pretty good, and so far the strings aren't too bad. The base strings look like they could be silver-plated. Unfortunately you dont get any product information in the box so who knows where the strings came from and what kind they are (the guitar is romanian), but the main thing is that the guitar sounds so nice that a child will be encouraged to continue, the teacher will be pleased, and the parents will not have to suffer from more than the usual beginning-any-instrument "noises", and perhaps a lot less because it has such a pleasant sound. Now of course it isnt comparable to the almansa or to finer guitars, but for a young child who is serious about wanting to study classical guitar, this is a very fine instrument at an EXCELLENT price. This model is sold on other sites for about 20 dollars more, but why pay that?! If you are looking for a small guitar for your young child, this one is a very good bet. A real, very decent sounding, classical guitar for the price of a toy one!

This is a very nice guitar. It has a very rich and warm/full sound when compared to the next Espana model down, which tends to sound a little boxy, but brighter. This model does NOT have a built in tuner. Just about every advertised description says it does but it dosen't. Comparing the recorded miked sound to the active electronic premap/pickup they sound almost identical. The other Espana that "does" contain the built in tuner is much brighter and harsher...not as good as the original acoustic sound. You can make EQ adjustments to correct that, but the Fishan preamp in this model is much truer to the acoustic sound without adjustments. Both are nice guitars but this one is much warmer when compared side by side.

THE LAST TRACK, SUMMERTIME, IS RECORDED ON THE SAME QUALITY AS THE OTHERS, BUT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PLAYERS ON THIS TRIO VERSION DESERVE TO BE INCLUDED ON THE COMPILATION .
IT IS TRULLY A PERFECT AUDIOPHILE DREAM.

The audiophile CD

This cd has some excellent tracks. The sheffield line has been known for it's quality recordings. I am an audiophile and compete in Car Audio SQ competitions. This particular CD is my favourite on which to test my system for tuning. I listen to this quite often and find the tracks soothing while being able to be played back with awesome quality... Track 1 is my favourite track, it is great and the tune is constantly on my mind. Track 7 is great as well...... GET THIS CD!!!

great beginners book and cd
I found this to be a great introductory book on playing the uke, it starts with how to tune the instrument and goes through an easy progression of cords and songs. I especiaally liked the intro to finger picking, and the glossary of chords. The included cd was quite good and a lot of help. A good buy, well worth the purchase price.

Great Book!
I love this book! I haven't touched a ukulele since elementary school forever and a day ago. It's a very good instruction for someone who has no idea what they are doing, like myself. You learn about 6-8 chords right off the bat and play a song right after. It allowed me to progress quicker than I expected. Personally, I think the lesson plan is set up very well. Definitely glad I got this one instead.

Great idea that works well
The string winder is larger and more comfortable to hold that any of the 'cheap' winders you buy at music stores. The winder part has smooth motion and the cutter works much better than expected. I thought maybe it would bend the strings rather than cut them. But so far, it snips cleanly through the strings and gets pretty close tot he peg head. If you change strings a lot, I would also recommend to yout he Planet Waves Headstand.
Very easy to use.
I love the pin puller the most. The bottom of it is very thin so that it slides under the pin very easily. This was something that was not as easy to use on my $2.50 string winder.

The cutter was also fun to use. Snips very easily, but the grip is not that easy to maneuver. Still it is a very effective tool.

The string winder was also very good. My hands don't move in a perfect circular motion, and no where near it either, but this seems to help me achieve that fairly well, compared to my $2.50 string winder.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is planning on changing strings.

Actually, it is worth the price (i have nothing to do with this company)
I wish they were cheaper - and looked into finding a diy alternative, but no dice after some research.
I own half a dozen. It ain't cheap, but the value of not having my guitars in open space (but rather, in my closet, ready to play, but not cluttering or in harms way - well, it's not priceless, but @ 22 - 23 clams, I'm in. It's really that convenient (plus I own a lot of guitars).
Totally worth it guitar storage
The Guitar Hanger is a stringed instrument hanging storage device designed to hang your instrument from the horizontal rod in your closet. With a clawed hook similar to, but more sophisticated than, a guitar wall hanger, The Guitar Hanger does a good job of storing my guitar in the closet out of sight of casual guests and up off the floor like on a typical guitar stand. I like the idea of being able to grab my guitar at a moments notice without the chore of getting the guitar case out.
The Guitar Hanger consists of an upper hook part made of stainless, I believe, designed to hang from the closet rod and hold the lower hook portion which grasps the two sides of the headstock of the guitar. The similarity to the hook on a guitar wall hanger ends there. The resilient black overmolding on the two claws of the hook is soft enough to avoid scratching the finish on the guitar while the hard plastic back flange of the claw slips precisely into the bottom loop of the upper wire part. Thus the Guitar Hanger can be slipped apart and instantly reassembled, making it a natural for use in hotel closets while traveling. Disassembled, the two parts could fit in a guitar case or gig bag, as demonstated on.
The two claws of the hook curve a little closer together at the front, making the grasp of the hook around the headstock very secure in case of any jostling that may occur of the other contents of your closet. Also, you have the option of putting your guitar in the claw frontwards or backwards to accomodate unusual headstock shapes.
Is it worth more money than a wall hanger? You bet it is. Precisely made, lightweight, portable, strong, secure, fits most guitars, and it came with an Is It Hanging? bumper sticker.

Love the Super Slinky strings!
My experience with guitar started in the 70s with a beat up acoustic my dad handed down to me. I was enthralled with the sounds of the guitar, but hated that giant hunk of junk. In the early 80s I got myself a job, tossed that pile of warped wood, and bought myself a Gibson electric. A friend quickly turned me on to GHS Boomers, which I used exclusively for probably 7-8 years. I had tried several other brands, but for me, the Boomers were the best.

Well, the 90s came around, and my musical taste changed from alt-rock to a heavier sound. My preference transitioned from Gibson guitars through Orange and Mesa/Boogie amps to Jackson guitars through Marshall amps. Due to budgetary constraints, I switched to Carvin strings -- they used to be incredibly affordable -- but "discovered" the Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings when a guitar tech friend of mine restrung one of my super-strats for me, and that was that.

So what do 'Slinkies' do?

1. Bend forever.
2. Quack on a Strat with the best of 'em!
3. NOT break when setting up a Floyd Rose.
4. Last for as long as you can stand rubbing the oxidation off of the higher strings.

Okay, you get the picture. In a nutshell, these are high-quality strings at an affordable price, delivering the best tone out there. Novice or pro; you won't be disappointed.
